In the UK, there only seems to be one E30 specialist and that’s A-Tech down in the deepest countryside under the aegis of Ant Woodjetts, E30 fettler extraordinaire. Ant is an inveterate tinkerer-nothing is ever quite finished to him and there’s always something else to do, another 2bhp in there somewhere. Ant’s background is mainly in car spannering – most recently at a BMW dealership close by, which puts him at an immediate advantage.
Ant has been part of the e30zone website forever-literally from the day it sprung onto the internet all those years ago. Ant is now on his second unit, a very neat and tidy complex out in the middle of no-where (ok one mile from the M25) with plenty of parking which is ideal. The unit is constantly rammed with cars, Ant starts early and finishes late and yes, there are easier ways to make a living, but he loves it, you can tell. Ant’s real speciality is engine builds, forced induction and engine management. Ant isn’t just an E30 bloke though we’ve seen other BMW’s in there for odd jobs but it’s pretty obvious where the core of the business is and as the E30 becomes more and more popular, he just going to get busier.
